Sustainable tourism & travel takes full account of its current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, addressing the needs of visitors, the industry, the environment and host communities. Sustainable travelling aims to reduce the negative impact of tourism while increasing the benefits. This includes: protecting natural environments and animal welfare and managing tourist activities and numbers. Green Visions, as a responsible tour operator, is committed to minimizing the negative social, cultural, economic, and environmental impacts of our activities.

Green Visions Mission Statement

This is our home, and we love to make visitors welcome. Our mission is rooted in the principles of environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and community prosperity. For two decades now, Green Visions has been organizing outdoor adventure travel, i.e. hiking and biking tours, pioneering new activities, and creating adventurous itineraries. We believe that a holiday is most rewarding when it provides you with an insight into the local culture while treading lightly upon the earth. 

Our commitment extends beyond the mere exploration of breathtaking destinations; it encompasses a pledge to minimize our footprint, leaving behind only positive and enduring impacts. We aspire to lead the travel industry by example, demonstrating that responsible travel practices can coexist harmoniously with awe-inspiring journeys.

Green Visions Sustainability Policy

  • We are strictly committed to the policy of minimizing using single-use plastic in the office or during tours, aligning with our commitment to environmental conservation. Our staff and guides undergo training to uphold this principle, ensuring a single use of plastic for our clients and minimizing our ecological footprint.

  • We strive to keep energy usage low by utilizing low-energy light bulbs throughout our offices.

  • Green Visions has embraced a paperless approach for pay stubs and time sign-in sheets. Green Visions is avoiding the use of paper whenever possible, sending invoices and quotes via email as PDF files.

  • Whenever possible, we purchase products made with recycled paper. For example, paper towels, printer paper, and business cards. Reuse waste paper (from the printer) where possible, making use of the blank side for notes, etc.

  • Recycle as much waste material as possible

  • Purchase products with a lower environmental impact. For example environmentally safe soaps and detergents.

  • Office staff are encouraged to commute on foot, by bicycle, or via public transportation. Official travel for office staff is minimized, avoiding unnecessary travel by making use of instant messaging, video and audio conferencing, phone or email.

  • Green Visions is committed to raising awareness among staff, partners, and guests about the importance of sustainable destination choices, as well as staff involvement in sustainability action plans.
