Itinerary:
We set off early morning from our office, located at Olympic Village of Mojmilo, using not
that busy road which goes in direction of Hrasnica and Igman Mountain that hosted several
winter olympic events, including the ski jump and cross country. Igman, however, was also
the only lifeline into Sarajevo during its 1400 day blockade in the conflict raging through
Bosnia and Herzegovina in the beginning of the 90’s. We start our mountain bike ride
entering a thick forest of conifers which will line the trail throughout our trip. This is 3-4
hours bike ride along the old war route, the only way out of the besieged city during the
early nineties. This circular gentle ride along dirt roads is something that will give you
another perspective of this beautiful thick forested mountain. We will take the exact route
to Igman from Hrasnica as many Sarajevans did. In case you’re interested you could also
visit, time permitting, the famous Sarajevo War Tunnel on your way back. The tunnel
provided the citizens of Sarajevo with a lifeline during the siege of Sarajevo and was the
only “reliable” road in of goods and electricity into Sarajevo. Please consult the guide,
tickets to the Tunnel are not included in this price.

Highlights: Igman toure, attractive peaks of Treskavica Mountain (2,088m) and its
neighboring Jahorina Mountain. Trebevic, the mountain that hides Sarajevo from our sight.
