We start today with a 20-minute transfer to the village of Nahorevo. After a short warm up ride through the countrysides surrounding Sarajevo we continue climbing for some 8km along the old highway route to the Grasshopper Waterfall (90m).

After the visit to the Skakavac waterfall, we’re heading further to Crepoljsko and Bukovik, peak points of mountains on the outskirts of Sarajevo.

The name Skakavac means grasshopper in Bosnian, and it’s the largest continually flowing waterfall in Bosnia and Herzegovina at a height of 98 meters. From below, we have a fantastic view of water, mist, and forest. This wonderful area passes through thick conifer forests, making it perfect for mountain biking due to a large number of macadam (old type road) and forest roads. The trail is perfect for mountain bike lovers, as well as for those who enjoy exploring hilly and wooded landscapes.

Moderate to challenging ride / 20min transfer to Nahorevo village / 5-6 hrs biking / 1,080m ascent and 1,300m descent / 33km / 20% single track, 60% gravel, 20% asphalt

Possibility to ride Skakavac single trail track, please check out our video section.
